The decline of written letters, a loss we can't deny,
A sacrifice of emotion and personal touch, left to die.
Gone are the days of nib and ink, as we type with ease,
But we've lost the charm and intimacy, a heartfelt breeze.
A scrawled note, holds so much more than meets the eye,
A glimpse into a soul, a personal connection, soaring high.
Each stroke of a pen, unique like a fingerprint,
A timeless treasure, forever in print.
Remember when we'd send a postcard from a far-off shore,
The excitement of receiving news, that we could touch and hold?
Nowadays, we send a message with a single click,
Instant gratification, but what did we miss?
The feeling of anticipation, opening a sealed envelope,
Waiting for an answer back, our hearts begin to glow.
So let us not forget, the power of the written word,
With a pen and paper, our emotions can be heard.
A love declaration, written with passion, in a lover's hand,
Or a condolence note, offering comfort to a troubled land.
A birthday card, with memories and well wishes, written with care,
These treasures, filled with meaning, a personal touch to share.
So let us not surrender, to the fast pace of our time,
For the beauty of a cursive dispatch, is worth more than any rhyme.
For though our world may change, and technology may rise,
The soul of a handwritten letter, will never truly die.
Put your emotions into words and send your special someone a handwritten letter today.
